This short film was made for the HTX Multimedia Fest, a weekend film contest in Houston, TX. (htxmultimediafest.weebly.com)
Local high schools were asked to write, shoot, and edit a short film that included a set of requirements announced at the start of the weekend. This year, the film needed to involve the use of social media and how it affects life. We also had to include the phrase "Put some respect on my name" in the dialogue.
After is was all finished, it took a long time to plan, leaving only a few hours to shoot the entire video, which included a variety of locations. Editing was finished only minutes before the deadline. Though it has its flaws, our group is proud of our first submission to a film contest. We won 3 of the 5 categories, including Best Film, Best Script, and Best Cinematography.
